Playing With Fire: The Evolution of DWAJ

There’s something powerful about working with a torch.

Fire is unpredictable. It demands attention. It forces you to slow down and respect the process. And when metal hits the right temperature, it becomes transformable.

Lately, I’ve been leaning into that more.

More torch work.
Thicker silver.
More hammer marks.
More intention.

When I first started Delena Wright Artisan Jewelry, I was focused on learning — how to cut cleanly, how to shape wire, how to make something beautiful. But growth has a way of calling you forward.

And lately, that growth has looked like fire.

Soldering my own circles. Forming heavier gauges. Letting pieces stay organic instead of chasing perfect symmetry. Allowing the metal to move the way it wants to move.

It’s raw.
It’s imperfect.
It’s stronger.

And honestly? It feels more like me.

DWAJ is evolving. Not away from meaning — but deeper into it. Into texture. Into boldness. Into craftsmanship that you can see and feel.

The organic hammered pieces are just the beginning.

There’s more coming. More layers. More weight. More story forged by hand.

Because at the end of the day, this brand has never been about mass production.

It’s about turning metal into memory.

And sometimes, you need a little fire to do that.
